The Gilmore Brothers, John and Louis, had a great day in 1963 when they won two All-Ireland Semi-finals at Kingscourt beating Wexford in softball and Dublin in hardball. They subsequently won the All-Ireland junior hardball doubles title.
The other side of the front wall was the front wall of the original old alley. Unfortunately there is a river running underneath the old alley which caused problems. Presently there is a Boxing Club on that site and a great 60x30 seen in the photo, a One-Wall court and of course the fantastic 3 court 40x20 complex.
