This alley is situated in Castlegar Village on the opposite side
to the parish church on the Tuam Road out of Galway. The Alley is 30
foot wide and 60 foot long to the stone back wall. It crosses an
actual road which links the Tuam Road and the Headford Road.The
alley was in use up to the 1970's when little traffic passed the way
but this road is now a rat run every morning and evening and the alley
contains some flower pots put in place by the local residents.
