Cross, near Clashmore, Co. Waterford

This was one of two locations in the Clashmore area where there were handball alleys. Neither alley remains today.
This location, known as Cross Clashmore, is in the townland of Ballinamultina, and bordering the townlands Lackamore and Ballindrumma.
It is shown on the 1st edition OSI maps (surveyed in 1841 for this area) so it would seem to be firmly a pre-famine entity. The alley was located within a "Fair Green", as Cross was previously a village in it's own right and was a prominent local fair location.
